Moisture Damage Remediation & Exterior Reinforcement

Long-term water exposure had compromised the exterior wall, with years of rainwater splashing from a collection barrel gradually penetrating through to the studs.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Removal of water-damaged exterior wall materials

  • Structural assessment of exposed framing

  • Replacement with pressure-treated lumber

  • Reinstallation of existing insulation where viable

  • Installation of new sheathing (OSB)

  • Application of weather-resistant barrier

  • Custom-fit exterior metal panel for long-term protection

The damaged material was carefully removed to expose and assess the full extent of water damage and deterioration.

From there, the structure was rebuilt using pressure-treated framing, restoring strength while preparing the wall for long-term protection.

Where appropriate, existing insulation was preserved and reinstalled — maintaining performance while reducing unnecessary material waste and saving the client money.

Insulation & Water Barrier

A new sheathing layer was installed, followed by a weather-resistant barrier to prevent future moisture intrusion.

To complete the repair, a custom-colored metal panel was added as a durable exterior surface — designed to withstand ongoing water exposure while blending with the surrounding structure.

Built to protect. Designed to last.
